Key Issues

Organic Denmark aims to transform agriculture and the way we produce, consume, and prepare food.

Organic Denmark’s goal is for organic farming to constitute 25 pct of Danish agricultural land and 25 pct. of Danish food consumption by 2030. Through more and better organic farming, we transform Danish agriculture and the food system so that we eat, consume, and produce food in a way that contributes to solving the planet's crises rather than creating them.

Organic Denmark works to:

  • Increase everyone's health with tasty and clean food
  • Contribute to a lower climate footprint through a change in our food culture. We should eat more seasonal greens, less and better meat, and significantly reduce our food waste
  • Strengthen our farm-to-fork understanding and create meaningful communities around meals
  • Create good animal lives for all farm animals by recognizing and treating them as living, sentient individuals that have intrinsic value
  • Contribute to solving the climate and biodiversity crises
  • Contribute to creating more space for nature throughout Denmark
  • Contribute to clean soil and clean drinking water free from synthetic pesticides.
